Ministers of Universal
Ministries should contact a Bishop or Contact Minister in their
area for the following purposes:
1.) For aid in finding local statutes or ordinances
concerning religious practices.
2.) For suggestions on how to create and promote an independent
Ministry in a particular city, state, area, or country.
3.) General guidance of Website pages for information, and requesting
church authorities.
The Bishop will be a person who can guide members
to sources for such information, and offer suggestions to help members
develop their own Ministry in their area.
Bishops should NOT be
contacted for Legal or tax advice (except
as a private citizen). The purpose of advisors is to guide in church/spiritual
matters, not more specific exemption regulations.
The Universal Ministries has made drastic changes in our Bishop/Contact
minister's listings recently. Bishops that had bad emails, or could
not be contacted by the church or members in need were recently
removed as UM Bishops. Though the direction of the church is still
to provide Advisors to our membership, we have chosen to maintain
a working Bishop/Contact Listing. We do not wish to appoint Bishops
simply to appease the egos of humanity, but to share those that
serve in faith, and the church. New Bishops are needed in many areas,
and our current list will help folks as needed even though they
may not be in your State, Province, or nation.
Find out more information on the requirements of the Bishop's Program and/or apply to become a Bishop in your area.
We need more Bishops to properly centralize the duties of each Bishop. Until such time as more Bishops are added to the directory, each Bishop listed in an "area" may be responsible for the larger area, such as the whole state. If this is the case, you will notice "pro-tem" in their listing.
